Tamas is a jurist specialised in European copyright law advising clients on how to navigate the complex regulatory landscape of intellectual property rights, platforms, data, and AI. He has worked extensively on key regulations such as the AI Act, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Data Act, General Product Safety Regulation, and the European Accessibility Directive. He is based in Wiggin’s Brussels office.

Tamas holds a PhD and two master’s degrees in law from the University of Oxford. His thesis focused on the regulation of freedom of expression. After completing his doctorate, he spent six successful years at the European Commission’s digital regulatory arm, where he worked primarily on European copyright law, online platform regulation, data governance, and the intersection of AI and IPRs. He has also worked with non-governmental public interest organizations, advocating for civil liberties and fighting corruption.

“I’m excited to be part of Wiggin’s Brussels office, where I can apply my knowledge and extensive experience in copyright and digital regulation to support our clients. My career has taken me through both academia and working for the main digital regulator in Europe, giving me first hand insight into EU and Member State law-making and enforcement—experience I now bring to private practice.”
