The Media Bill, a summary of which was previously reported by Wiggin, is currently making its way through the legislative process. On 31 January 2024, it had its first reading in the House of Lords, a formality that signals the start of a Bill’s journey through the Lords. No date has been fixed yet for the second reading, during which the Bill will be debated in the Lords.  This will include reviewing the amendments proposed by the House of Commons to the original proposal.
