Karen Hogarty

Karen is a consultant and works with the firm’s Film and TV group.

“After qualifying as a solicitor with Slaughter and May, I worked in the Advertising, Technology and Media Practice of (what is now) Reed Smith LLP, where I advised leading banks and other financiers, distributors and producers in relation to films, television programmes and other media projects.

My first move in-house was to Miramax to become Head of Legal and Business Affairs at Miramax UK, where I looked after all of Miramax’s European interests in film, theatre and television, and most recently I was Head of Business Affairs at Red Kite Animation Limited.

I have a master’s degree (LL.M) from McGill University, Montréal, am a former non-executive director of Scottish Screen and am currently a non-executive director of The National Theatre of Scotland.”
