The research reports published by the Government were all carried out to enhance understanding of the online harms evidence base. This release contains evidence relating to several online safety issues:

  • age assurance;
  • organisations’ approaches to harm prevention;
  • the safety tech sector; and
  • experiences of harm of LGBT+ young people.

The reports were originally commissioned by the DCMS but now fall within the remit of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).

The Online Safety Bill is going through Parliament at the moment and is currently at the Committee stage in the House of Lords. To access the research, click here.
