In August 2019 the Commission launched a consultation on either banning or limiting the use of credit cards for gambling. The deadline for responses is 6 November 2019.

According to Commission statistics, in 2018 over 800,000 consumers used a UK-issued credit card for gambling. Gambling Commission senior manager Pete Rangeley and Insight manager Rab Grewal have now recorded a podcast to delve deeper into the topic and find out more about why people choose to gamble with a credit card.
