Media law firm Wiggin has advised on the adaptation of Roald Dahl’s novel Esio Trot.

Esio Trot tells the story of a lonely London bachelor whose head is turned by the flirtatious widow who lives directly below him.  The adaptation was directed by Richard Curtis and starred Dustin Hoffman and Dame Judi Dench.  It was shown on BBC 1 on New Year’s Day.

Wiggin Film & TV Partner Medwyn Jones advised on this adaptation.  Medwyn began acting for the UK independent television sector in the late 1980’s and acts for many of the leading television production companies, as well as for rights owners, writers, on-screen and production talent.  He advises on all aspects of development, finance, production and distribution of television programmes, as well as sponsorship and broadcasting issues, and the exploitation of secondary and ancillary rights.
