The Statutory Instrument repeals and revokes domestic legislation concerning the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and the European Patent with Unitary Effect (Unitary Patent or UP). This legislation would have implemented the UPC and UP system, but is no longer necessary following the withdrawal of the UK from the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court on 20 July 2020.
