Cirkus, the subscription on-demand television service that offers viewers the ‘Best of British’ television, has launched successfully on Com Hem, Sweden’s largest Pay TV platform. The service went live on 4 December as part of Com Hem’s new TiVo offer. Cirkus is a unique collaboration between content consultancy Content&Co, media lawyers Wiggin and digital product designers Ostmodern.

“The idea with TiVo is to offer our customers the best TV experience possible by combining great content with smart functionality” said Com Hem’s Director of TV and Content, Simon Gate. “With Cirkus we are adding whole seasons of some of the most successful TV dramas in Sweden.”

Cirkus has long-term access to programming from the UK’s two largest broadcasters – ITV and the BBC as well as the UK’s largest independent production company – All3Media, ensuring that the service will always include the latest and very best of British television.  At launch the service is offering viewers whole seasons of titles such as Midsomer Murders, Sherlock, Whitechapel, Poirot, Luther and Case Histories. Also included are the series Marchlands and The Syndicate that have never before aired in Sweden.

“We have worked hard to develop a service that makes the very best of British TV available to Com Hem subscribers in a way that supports how they increasingly like to consume content – complete seasons, available on-demand, with episodes being able to be watched back-to-back. We are very confident that Com Hem subscribers will develop a strong following and loyalty to Cirkus” said Mark Bradford, Co-Founder & Director of Cirkus.

Cirkus costs customers SEK 49 a month as part of a six-month contract or SEK 79 a month without any long-term commitment. Subscribers can watch the service on both Com Hem’s TiVo-box as well as on the TiVo companion app TiVoToGo™.
