News Cirkus launches in Norway

Key contact

Cirkus, the on-demand television channel that offers ‘Best of British’ programmes to international audiences, has launched on Norwegian pay TV platform GET.

Cirkus is a unique collaboration between content consultancy Content&Co, media lawyers Wiggin, digital product designers Ostmodern and ITV.

Cirkus will be included in GET’s Family and Entertainment extended basic tiers, as well as available on a standalone SVoD basis. This deal closely follows the major distribution deal in Finland and Sweden with TeliaSonera in October.

Cirkus Co-Founder’s Mark Bradford & Hugh Williams said: “This deal means that Cirkus is now well advanced in its intention of becoming a leading on-demand service throughout the Nordic region. We are thrilled to be adding Norway to the growing list of countries in which we’re available. We’re also delighted that GET will be our launch partner in Norway. Their clear focus on cross-platform delivery and the importance of the user experience means they will offer subscribers a best in class on-demand experience.”

GET is a pay TV platform and has 1.3 million customers.
