In this week’s edition of our technology digest we celebrate a couple of important birthdays (yes, this month the internet is 25 – and so is Sonic the Hedgehog), learn about the state of play with human augmentation and how athletes are gaining a technological edge at the Rio Olympics, cover a number of hacking stories, and take comfort from Barack Obama’s decision to elevate the status of US Cyber Command, though it does sound kind of Blade Runner scary, too.
