The Government has published its response to the consultation into increases to selected court and tribunal fees, announcing that 172 court and tribunal fees will be increased by 10%. It is the first increase in fees since September 2021, and the Government has signalled that, in the future, a “more routine approach to updating court and tribunal fees by reference to inflation and HMCTS costs is beneficial as smaller-scale increases will lessen the financial impact on users”.
