Insights Competition and Markets Authority consults on proposals for quantitative testing of Google’s Privacy Sandbox technologies

The CMA has published a note setting out the framework on how quantitative testing might inform its assessment of the Google’s Privacy Sandbox proposals.

The CMA will be working with Google to further develop the ideas in the note and to design experiments that Google can carry out itself.

Under the Commitments, Google has committed to being transparent in reporting the results of its tests. At the same time, the CMA wants to encourage other market participants to get involved in testing.

The CMA is keen to receive feedback on the ideas in the note. Responses should be sent via email to privacysandbox@cma.gov.uk by 1 December 2022. To access the proposals for testing, click here.
